Socks are a crucial piece of clothing for those in need, most homeless people get-around on foot or public transportation and having a new pair of socks facilitates their ability to be mobile, get a hot meal, get to a part-time job or to a shelter. White crew socks are also preferred by health care professionals to help diagnose early-onset medical issues associated with the foot. If a homeless person becomes immobile, the impact to their lives is monumental and affects everything from their ability to get to shelter to getting to a job.
